First time datalogging
Hey guys,
So here are two different datalogs of my 08 RDX with a CP-E intake and flashpro.
I flashed the ECU with the base (TUNED + K&N SRI) option. Did a few pulls and noticed some knocking with the knock retarding the timing alot.
I think its running lean, but why would hondata put out a base tune with these unsafe numbers??... please let me know what ya guys think.
Thanks!

it's a base tune to get you by....not to do pulls on...especially when one car can be totally different than the other....soo many variables....
the base tune is accounting for a short ram intake...and you have a cold air intake.. Different readings.... at idle, a short ram intake will be sucking up the engines hot air....
assuming the tuner accounted for this...

that means it's not the right "base tune" for your car...
it's gotta be the difference between the intakes....at idle the short ram is sucking up the engines hot air...the tuner, or the person who tunes the maps has accounted for that...
your car has a cold air intake..which doesnt suck up the engines hot ambient air....there's the variable right there and it MUST be accounted for.
Fuel type??????? the "base map" might be using a different fuel type than you....Another variable that MUST be accounted for.

I'm running 91 octane same as the base hondata tune.
They included the base tune with stock set up, and the next step up was tune with an intake option.
Of course being closet to that I choose tuned with intake.
Hondata tested it with the flash and said:
Reflash - Acura RDX
if its supposed to be "fine" why am I knocking so much even under light to medium load.

Hondata doesn't have a CPE option, only the K&N option.
And in my case would be closer than just the base reflash which is completely stock.
Also, with just the reflash when the RDX was stock, it was still knocking. I read somewhere its common to have 5-10 knocks in a 15 min drive.. thats werid to me. I could retard the ignition timing to tune out the knocks out no?
Also with the base hondata tune and stock everything, the AFR was still 13.5-14.5 under boost, but not WOT. Isn't safe parameters 11.5-12.5? Is the stock narrowband not giving me correct readings?
