Finally pulled the trigger on Hondata

After a year of contemplation I have decided on Hondata reflash. Purchased it through the website from . I was surprised that I had to pay for the shipping to Hondata. Thought it was included in the $290. Anyways, I paid overnight for the total cost of $68. Hopefully, I will get it back by Fri. Crossing my fingers that it will worth the $$ and the wait. On a side note, saw the Panamera S the other day and was tempted to visit the dealership for a test drive. Will see how the reflash turns out in a couple of days.

Let us know what you think. I have been contemplating it for a few months now myself. Just not 100% sure I'm going to be keeping the RDX

The reflash by itself is good; really feel the difference especially in S mode. Where you really feel the pull when the VTEC kicks in is the combo of and Intake, Reflash and DP...just sayin. The stock primary cat is so restrictive

Reflash will be only good to a certain point.
You are praising it now because you just got it with the downpipe and basing it on just your stock RDX with an intake.

After you drive it for a little while; you know and feel that it is just a base map. Nothing more and seem to be a lot less than everyone seems to be raving about.

How are you monitoring your car to see if it is running to lean or not?
I have the CP&E and it has raise my wideband a few points leaner on idle with no reflash.
I also have the down pipe, mid pipe with high flow cat, pulley, full 3" exhaust system and bigger TMIC.

JCRDX11, how did the down pipe, mid pipe with high flow cat, pulley, full 3" exhaust system and bigger TMIC, affect the air/fuel ratio?

All the part above didn't affect much - the A/F ratio stay safe around low to mid 14.

Once I install the CP&E -it just to 14.5- 14.9 just on idle.
Sometime a little over 15.

This is all from just a intake so I can only imagine how the reflash would be with the intake and downpipe as it was only tune with the exhaust system only.

jc is right on the money with that one with an intake is does run richer. anyone getting the turbo backfire out there under heavy load/full throttle shifts? but as jc told me a tsx ralco crank pulley will work for a fraction of the price.

by the way, jc shoot me an e-mail my phone crashed lost ur address

I get the turbo backfire, sometimes even without the intake. Its because of the more frequent backfires that I removed the intake.

will the Hondata somehow prevent this, or increase the probability?

So i finally got the Hondata reflash and installed it last night. TOTALLY awesome! Throttle response is better, less turbo lag and alot easier to break traction (could be a good or bad thing depending on your outlook). Once the WOT excitement is over i hope to see increased MPG as well.

It is all really fun in the beginning because you realize this is what the RDX suppose to be stock. (Being able to go almost redline without losing boost)

Afterward you will get bored and want more power.
I can say the downpipe is the best bet without worrying that you are running too lean with the reflash.

All the other parts like mid pipe and exhaust helps. (Biggest restriction is the downpipe IMO)

yea im sure it will start to feel slow and no power in a couple weeks and i'll get the itch for another power add. But for now i'm enjoying it. Working on getting HID in the fog lights then probably build myself an intake for cheap...

I ordered mine through K Series Parts it was $290 total. Included Free Overnight return shipping.

Make sure you have ECM Serial # handy when placing an order.
K Series Parts will email you completed form to include in the package.

I selected Next Day FedEX with Insurance with Delivery Time 10am. Earlier Mike @ Hondata receives it better chances for Overnight return.

Ain't gonna happen my friend: once I got the reflash my mileage stayed the same, I just went everywhere faster with a bigger smile on my face.
