Thumbs up Current Price

I got a response from Michael @ ETS.

Apparently, they are waiting on castings to be completed (hopefully by the years-end) If this is the case, the price remains at $599 Shipped to the lower 48.

Im guessing five is the magic #, while ten is sweet profit wise it ties up production of much sweeter projects...

This is a quote from the ETS reply...

"If our castings are completed by the end of the year we should be able to honor that price. The process right now takes almost a day an intercooler which isn't good for production time. If we sell 10 units and it takes 2 weeks, it's going to put our normal work WAY behind and won't be worth it. We plan on spending more money on the end tanks so we can get more done in a day".

So at this point Im guessing we have stagnated at $600, which is nothing to hang your head low at.

Payment

As for payment… I also would prefer to pay ETS directly.

I am awaiting to contact them once the production date is closer, although I am not opposed to anyone contacting them to make an early payment / fill us in on the process.

If not, I will gather all the information needed at a later time once each ETS gives me the green light.

Update

Hey everyone I just wanted to give you an update on the anticipated ETS IC group deal.

I had a conversation with the associate at ETS handling the group buy.

In short… Everything is still on track, payments will be accepted after the new year for tax reasons.

The new forges are what we all are waiting on so ETS can begin the group built; they are a much more solid units and in the end we will all be getting a top tier Intercooler.

Hands down… one of the best made.

when i got mine they mentioned that they were looking at having the end tanks cast in the future..easier and faster to build than making the end tanks to order. wonder if that's what they meant. I know it is an odd size core, so that could be it too.

the core is the same.. it's just gonna be a cast endtank that can be easily welded to the core, vs the time it takes to handbuild each endtank with fittings and everything.

i don't know, could be smoother i guess maybe...

If you're interested in buying the running board, I just picked them up from Curry Acura, but I didn't buy the kit. The cheapest I can find the kit is on eBay is $425 shipped, but if you buy the parts separately from Curry Acura, it cost me about $377 shipped, so about $50 saving, just look up the part numbers:

08L33-STK-20001 Right Side
08L33-STK-20002 Left Side
08L33-STK-200R1 Hardware Mounts, you'll need 2 of these

I also bought my mud flaps that way too, cost about $50 vs over $100 on eBay...

08P08-STK-200R1 Fronts
08P09-STK-200R1 Rears

Check some other Acura dealers, it might be cheaper, but for me Curry was cheapest cus of no tax and free shipping...

I don't think they really get in the way, either you step on them or you have to step a few inches more to get out of the car, it really helps my nieces to get into the car tho and it does look a lot better with them

I don't know about anyone else here, but my New Year's Resolution was to gain 14 hp this year.

Vap, any word from ETS? Thanks again for putting all of this together.
