Talking Ebay No-Name Intake for $60-$70!

Hey guys! New to the forum, I thought this would really warrant a new thread. As you all know, intake choices for the rdx are limited and very expensive! There are now quite a few listings for No-name intakes on Ebay. I can confirm they function perfectly and maf placement seems to be identical to the Typhoon intake. To find this wonderfully wallet friendly intake, one must go to eBay, type in rdx intake and sort by lowest price + shipping, put minimum price to $40 or $50 to weed out the irrelevant listings and the first intake you see will likely be the cheapest and at $60-$70! Happy intake hunting!!!

Its possible the heat shield may help prevent some heat soaking, however! The two piece design allows you to place the man housing by the filter OR on the throttle body side.

Black market would be the wrong section. Not selling anything. Making people aware of a cheap alternative for one of the most common mods available for our cars. Oh and I'm a huge fan of your setup Ken! Watched your YouTube vids

Just a heads up. Those filters are junk and can kill a turbo/engine. They have a cap on the inside that's glued on. I've seen quite a few come off and get sucked in.

id like to see photos of this installed.. other things that come to question if that's that case is the sensor location and size, cpe and k&n along with weapon r all have fixed locations for there sensors for a reason. the cpe makes the car run alittle leaner in comparison to the other 2 due to back in its time there wasn't many mods avail and tuning wasn't available for the rdx.. I can go into a long story as to how it effected people that started adding down pipes and stuff but I don't want to type that much. another thing I noticed with this is that the 2 connection hoses are straight.. the one where the intake goes to the turbo should have a bend to it otherwise it would look goofy.. hence why I would like to see photos of this installed..

not selling yes.. but sure leading into the fact that they could be the seller with words like "To find this wonderfully wallet friendly intake, one must go to eBay, type in rdx intake and sort by lowest price + shipping, put minimum price to $40 or $50 to weed out the irrelevant listings and the first intake you see will likely be the cheapest and at $60-$70"

What noise does it make on the intake. Is it louder than the stock one when the extension part is taken out? Also a friend bought an intake like that from KNN and we found out that the intake actually caused a lot of turbo lag and the stock intake was better. Does that intake have the same effect?

An intake will not cause lag. Something else was wrong. Or its in your head.

An intake will cause lag if you shove the filter too far onto the pipe, so it breathes through a 1/4 opening.

Same noise as k&n or cp-e intake. The big air sucking and blow off sound due to recirculating bypass valve in our cars. As far as performance goes, in flashed with the hondata intake tune and there is a lot more torque low end. Not much difference top end. Can't tell if lag increased or decreased

Good price. If we factor in a k&n filter, at $110-$130 bucks, that's still a decent deal.

Had the same intake. Took it off due to a few factors. You have to get the maf angled just right, if not it will throw a code. I've tried near the throttle body and near the filter. The filter also sucks. It doesn't have enough...protection from dust particles etc. I used a K&N filter for it to circumvent said issue. It also made the ride a bit rough, loss of power at times etc. Switched back to stock and no more issues.
