Lightbulb CT-Engineering 520cc injectors

I was looking around on Heeltoe's website for RDX mods and found http://www.heeltoeauto.com/ct-engine...roductid=66551

This posed a question: Would installing these injectors fix the lean issue that comes with running a hondata reflash, CAI, and downpipe/exhaust mod?

I've read on several threads where it's not wise to run all three as it can cause the car to run lean, so why not add the larger injectors?

Also, how much do you think this would affect fuel economy?

Injector is controlled by the ECU. Pulse amount/duration would be the same.

Saw that mod listed also, Is states in the listing "Will require aftermarket ECU modifications" & "Not to be used on vehicles with a stock factory ECU"

Im interested if the hondata with the injectors are a good combo or if hondata would need to tailor the tune for them.

Because there isn't enough of a market for the RDX as far as modifications. Because of that Hondata will not throw R&D costs at a car that wont give them back more than what they put into it.

This is another reason why Hondata SUCKS! we are handcuffed to only 1 option.

I'm sure we could take the RDX to any local tuner shop and they'll do a custom tune for the injectors. I mean, that's what they're there for, right?

As I understand it, any sort of Honda ECU is not like a typical ECU that can easily be reflashed or simply tuned, that's kinda why Hondata has us by the short and curlys. Now, I am not completely certain bbut another viable option would be to go with a stand alone ECU and work from there, but at that point in time you are talking about a hefty investment of time and money.

With flashpro coming out this might be a nice upgrade since it can be tuned by a shop who knows about hondata.

I'll talk to Hondata and see what they think of me installing these when I send my car back with all the goodies. If he wants to do it I'll invest the resources to get it done.

If u are getting a base map programed on your hondata then it should b stock if u mod it u should tune the ecu to control and b able to understand whats going on with the engine and if your local dyno shop doesnt know how to tune your hondata or u are to cheap to tune it the stay with your intakes and exhaust and put your money else where like vinyl stickers.

The thing is, with this new hondata coming out we are finally able to get a little more ability to actually fine tune each modification we do. With the normal handata tune, there is nothuing that you can change. Even the most reputable shops will not try to mess with the Honda ECU because, like a toyota, it is locked.

Hondata isnt a chip, its a program. Hondata is in the middle of developing flashpro for us but we are still waiting on those results. Otherwise, a base hondata tune cant be changed or modified by some joe schmoe shop
