I regret having to say this under these circumstances, but welcome to the forum.

 

don't bother with an intake, just get a K&N drop-in filter and replace the snorkel coming off of the water trap with 3" performance ducting. overall cost should be $70 or so.


if you aren't intending to get flashpro, just get the CP-E intake only, it has a mechanical tune, you could say, based on how its MAF sensor is positioned.

 

if you are doing the 'just the intake' route with no flashpro, this is the one to get, specifically: CP-E Xcel Intake for 07 - 12 Acura RDX


avoid the K&N or the weapon-r ones, they are only as good if you are tuning.

 

I tried the snorkel mod thing and the car drives like crap imo. Its been 2 days since i took it off and i will put it back later. Only good thing is you can hear the bov. I will look into the cp-e intake. I originally wanted the kn intake since i had thay in my civic si for 5 years never gave me problems or CEL.
