blow thru MAF?

blow thru MAF?

Has any one tried doing a blow thru MAF setup?

I haven't seen anyone here post about it. Aside from letting you run an atmospheric BOV without issues, I don't see the advantage...plus on this car I think it would be a bitch to install unless you convert to a front-mount I/C.

I am installing a front mount currently and it would be cleaner to vent the bov instead of having to run piping.

There shouldn't be any innate problems in doing a blow-through setup, other than the sensor itself appears to max out early in a 3" pipe.

If you are making under 275whp or so, the stock MAF in a 3" pipe will skate right under the 5v limits.

We've had to step up to a 3.5" MAF housing diameter to get enough room for 300whp.

I ended up leaving it in the 3.5 maf housing in the intake. d-rob do you do etunes?
