Pair of AE IB15's for IB setup?

Hey guys, i've been trying to do a bunch of reading on IB setups and I've come across some good recommendations, such as AE IB15's, ID MAX 15s and JL W6s. I want a good amount of output from the subs which is why im leaning towards a pair of 15's, but my budget only limits me to $300 per sub, so i can get 2 AE IB15's, but the thing that has me concerned is the Qts of 0.62 per sub for the IB15's. Won't that become much higher once the pair of IB15's is installed in the trunk? I was looking for somewhere in the 0.5 - 0.7 qtc range preferably. Here are the stats for the IB15, directly from aespeakers...

Fs: 20.41 Hz
Qms: 6
Vas: 387 L
Cms: 0.4 mm/N
Mms: 152 g
Rms: 3.25 kg/S
Xmax: 18 mm(peak)
Xmech: 22 mm(peak)
Sd: 830 sqcm
Vd: 2.98L (p-p)
Qes: 0.69
Re: 5.5 ohm
Le: 0.33 mH
Z: 8 ohm
Bl: 12.49 T/m
Pe: 300W (cont.)
Qts: 0.62
1WSPL: 88.79 dB
2.83V: 90.42 dB

The qts used to be lower for these subs IIRC, so will they still work well as a pair in an Acura TL 2006 trunk or will the qtc be too high? Sorry for the noob questions, but i can't find anyone who has the new version of these subs with the increased qts. Any ideas what the qtc would be roughly, with a pair of these installed?

I'm leaning toward 2 SBP 15's but the only thing I'm concerned with is if it'll be enough output? I'm coming from 2 sundown SA 12's in a ported 4 cu. ft box, but they were only getting about 500 RMS each, nowhere near max excursion, and they're much less efficient compared to the SBP 15's. Anyone have an idea of how the output of these two setups will compare, roughly? The SBP 15's will be powered by an alpine PDX M12, so I should be able to easily hit xmax on the SBP 15's. By output I mean spl, not SQ since I know SQ will be superior from SBP 15's.

You could model them in a 15 cuft. sealed enclosure and compare them to the model of the sundowns in their ported enclosures...

You will not get the same output on IB as you will get in a ported box thats for sure 100% hands down, If you get about half of output than you be golden... yes some people show all the flax and all the loud volumes in IB setup, but you have no idea of how much work it went in tot installing IB setup... I'm sure it does sound nice..

I was thinking of doing 3 12 W6 or W7 in IB but i have changed my mind to a single sub solution,, and thats enough for me

Thanks everyone for the replies! I'm actually now leaning towards getting 1 ID Max 15 for now, and then adding another later, since I realized I'm looking more for a SQL setup. Does anyone know how loud 1 ID Max 15 can get, IB in our TL's?

Trying to get a hold of I hate cars to see if I can buy his ID Max 15's

Well if I am satisfied with the output of a 10 in a small sealed enclosure a 15 IB with those crazy specs should sound pretty good and loud.

Havent seen IHC for a while. He may be on the beemer forums now? Could check DIYMA. BUICKGN is his handle there.

I hope you're right! Yeah I've sent him messages on here and on diyma as well. I feel like a stalker at this point lol but I'm really curious to see if he's still willing to sell his ID Max's!

I did some quick modeling of the ID max 15d4v4 and based on experience with our TLs and cabin gain I would estimate you would be reaching in excess of 130dB at 20Hz if powering it with 1000W of power for one sub while affording you at least another 10 mm of excursion to spare meaning you could put more power to it than that if you needed/wanted.

Oh sh*t thank you for modeling that for me! I'm not very active on these forums but I love how helpful people are on here, such as yourself! I've heard that 2 ID Max 15's can reach mid 140's in our TL in an IB setup, if i can find the post...
