Blow Off Valve

For those of you who have installed a BOV on your RDX, what brand/type did you go with and why?

For clarification I'm curious why those with BOVs installed them if a CAI gives the same sound and there's really no performance gains. Just curious.

I would suggest to stick with the mazdaspeed 3 turbosmart black street unit BPV.

If you have a CAI - you will hear the turbo alot more.

Mazdaspeed3 is a straight fit since the base is adjustable as I recall.
Don't get the ones for the subaru since they are facing a different angle and non adjustable.

Also stick with the bypass valve -

I'm checking this out as one of my next mods, and since I have very little knowledge of turbo charged cars, how will this benefit? Smoother and more even response or flow? I'm trying to justify if this is a worthwhile investment, or if it's just for the sound.

Is this the BPV I'm looking for? http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...duct=FMDVMSP02

Here's the product you want to replace the stock BPV. Not a bad price considering it's metal and the OEM BPV is $80 to replace.

Looks Legit, no mods needed for install, looks like it bolts right up to me...

I ordered it, and installed. I think I got the high pressure, I don't remember.

Honestly I'm probably not going to reinstall after the hondata flash pro. Sounds a little different, but not much. I read a write-up by pang or whoever did that custom downpipe awhile back and he claimed the stock plastic bpv is really good, even tho it's plastic. I'll bring it with me to the re-map with mods to see what Hondata thinks when they hook it up to the 'puter.

edit- yes it bolts right up, you may have to bolt it down in order to get the base to adjust though, at least I had to. The only thing you'll need is a hose clamp since the hose doesn't fit tightly on the TurboSmart BPV.
