another intake question

So im wanting to put an intake on my rdx. Been kinda leaning on k&n typhoon kit since i had that on my previous car. (Civic Si) ran that for 6 years never had problems with heat soak or cel. Which is a better intake Cp-e, k&n or weapon-r. I only plan to run an intake so hoping something that wont run me into problems.

I dont want to do the intake snorkel/resonator mod with drop in filter. Tried that and the car ran like crap. Totally felt the lost of power and fuel economy had a noticable loss. Only plus was you hear the bov more and slight intake growl.

Any help would be appreciated

well, you need a flashpro to tune the drop/in + snorkel mod as stated earlier. If you are not getting the flashpro, go for the CP-E specifically if you're /not/ getting a flashpro. It has a mechanical tune that gives you about 17hp compared to 9 or so from the K&N.

You do not need a flashpro for anything unless you want to tune your car. Where did you get that?? I ran this JDM password intake for years with no problem. It was only until after I got the flashpro, I had problems with that intake. If you want that intake, then get it; just make sure the MAF housing is 3inch.

Well, if this guy's interested, I'll let him take a crack at it in a few days first.

How loud was the BOV sound with that password JDM intake?

Stock MAF housing. The intake was from the Jdm password intake kit for the Honda Fit.

so did you just cut the MAF housing in order to fit the PW JDM intake?
