What do you consider an upgrade and why are you considering it?

Hmmm, do you realize gasoline engines are throttled by air and not fuel? Upgrading the injectors without any other changes will do nothing for performance while at the same time dilute the engine oil and potentially cause rather significantly accelerated engine wear as the oil dilution increases following each oil change.

There's always that one guy with a response off the wall lol....

ID1000s is what i ran or FIC is great too. Only ones I'd recommend. Both are great brands with all the needed injector data needed to input into flashpro and not drive like crap. Matched flow rates and all that jazz.

I'm thinking "yes", had you read, and understood, the context of each post in this thread, you would understand the only off the wall post was made by none other than you.

.....

he asked what injectors people have upgraded to and any issues they had if any. I answered my experience. You did not. This is a performance forum. The stock injectors are maxed out with just a good dyno tune. He's made other posts asking about other mods so he wants to go bigger with the injectors.

You'll have to pardon me, I never saw the OP's other posts; his question was framed within the context of upgraded injectors and nothing else (which plenty of other folks have done thinking more fuel would equate to a faster vehicle). This is what framed my follow up questions. Once he explained fully his intent, the rest of his posts made sense.

Good afternoon,

The 800’s will put you at a 61% duty cycle with the flashpro tune.

I've read and tried to comprehend to the best of my ability but my question is about the injector size i need to order (based on the Flashpro basemap calibrations). The base calibration from flashpro is for sri, dw600 and 3” mid pipe with highflow cat.

I am doing the downpipe with high flow cat instead of mid pipe and if i want to add tmic or cat back exhaust later, would i be maxing out the duty cycle of 600cc injectors? Should i go 800 to allow for other bolt ons?

Good question.... AFAIK the downpipe and an intake alone will just about max out the stock 410's. So i'd say you would be ok with other mods and a fuel pump plus 600cc's. Duty cycle would probably be @90%.

Thanks I appreciate your responses. I am reading most go with 800's and I will too. Now im stressing about if I need to ug the fuel pump at the same time lol.
is there a spec for pump performance in relation to injector size/demand?

Thanks again

You don't have to upgrade the fuel pump. Mine was working fine with the stock one.
Although since my stock fuel filter was clogged, I was getting this annoying ass rattle under my dash from the fuel regulator.
Upgraded the fuel pump and filter and it was gone.

good to know I can ug later (when funds allow) and install the DW800's for the bolt-on's I am planning. thx
Would I need to drop the tank to check the filter?

Nope don't have to drop the fuel tank. The cap is located under the the rear seat, just need to pull up the carpet to get to it.
Once you unscrew the cap (or whatever you call it), the fuel pump assembly lifts out and the filter is on the bottom attached to the pump.
