Also, Rain-X on the windows works great as well.
I have the OEM blades in my 2009 RDX after three years, and they are still fine. But ... there are probably two reasons why.
1) they are seldom used, as it does not rain in the summer (for 3 months), and does not snow that often (during commute) in the winter. What damages blades in the winter (for me) is when they freeze to the windshield.
2) I 'exercise' them once per week when I gas up the car, using plenty of washer flud and letting them sweep several times. Also, once per year, I remove the blades and clean them using 20/10 brand washer concentrate (just wipe them clean with a paper towel).
I have found that any blade will last a lot longer, based on several different brands used in my other car, if the blades are used once per week for about 10 seconds with plenty of washer fluid. Summer heat and ozone will kill blades unless they are kept clean and lubricated (with washer concentrate). Summers here run around 100 degrees most days. And the RDX is parked in the sun all day at work.
I did have a silicone type blade that only lasted a short time, but I cannot remember the brand (sorry).
