Jack Pads

Practice hockey pucks (the lighter, softer, blue ones) make excellent pads for the floor jack and jackstands. They protect the underside of the car from the hard metal edges and the car's weight will partially crush the puck holding it securely in place.

We actually have a hockey team down here in Bmt. Good idea, thanks.

Ha that's funny. That's what I've always used on my jack as well.

I play hockey so I have them all over the place, but you can buy them at any major sporting good store like Dick's or sports authority or order them online.

I used the hockey puck idea this weekend, and they work great. I bought 5 of them (used) for about $1.50 each at the local sports recycle store. 1 for the floor jack, and 4 for the jack stands.
