Filling Transmission
Filling Transmission
The RDX trans fill port is located 15" below the brake reservoir, on top of the trans. The bolt head is marked ATF. It is difficult to reach and service.
A slower but much easier method of filling the trans is through the dipstick tube. A 9mm o.d. clear nylon hose will fit snugly into the dipstick tube. Fit the other end onto a nozzle cap from a gear oil bottle, and put that on your quart of ATF-Z1.
You can watch the progress through the clear tube.
