Auto Dimming Mirror

Am I doing something wrong but no matter what sensor I block (rear or front) the mirror never dims. Is it broken?

sorry for the stupid question, but is it turned on? on my 4g tl sh-awd, there is an on off switch, to stop it from dimming, my wife has an 07 RDX and it doesn't have an auto dimming mirror.

I believe so (at least according to the owners manual. The "little" green light is on which apparently indicates that it's on.

Man this thread had me excited for a minute. I am new to the forum and saw this. My RDX is an 07 as well. Glad to know for certain that the mirror doesn't dim. Have to say that is a minor inconvenience.
