Replacing stock tweeters?

I have an 08 w/tech package and recently noticed my driver's side tweeter sounds terrible/distorted. How hard is it to replace? Do I need to pop off the door panel? And also, I figured I would just replace both at once with aftermarkets or would it be better to just buy stock? Thanks for any help.

Hey, I am not an RDX owner, but I just got bored and decided to browse the forums. Looking at the price, you're going to probably be spending $50 or $75 at least for one tweeter with the assembly. For like $100 you can just buy a pair of 2 OHM component speakers which lets you replace the door woofers and tweeters. I have an 07 TL and my stock speakers were in good condition and the difference was noticeable, you'll probably pick up a little volume as well. Here is what I went with: https://www.amazon.com/JBL-GX600C-2-.../dp/B00U0FRU5S. Looking at the specs of your system, this should fit. You'll probably need a wiring harness and maybe speaker brackets. Shouldn't cost you more than like $20. You will save a little $ just buying the tweeter, but this option just makes more sense.
