Remote starter Suggestions

Hey guys, I have an 08 rdx base, and had some questions about a remote start option.

For those of you that have the option, was there a specific brand/model that you can recommend?

I also had a question about turbo-timers. Are they a necessary requirement when looking for a remote starter?

Thanks you guys!
happy holidays!

I have the Acura factory remote starter. Range is limited (poor). I park about 300 feet away and from my office, I can see my car. If I don't back into my spot, the two way won't confirm a start (about 75% of the time, it will start though).

It's also annoying that when you unlock the doors, the engine shuts off. I've never had a remote start do this.

And another beef, is when it starts, no light go on, so you have no clue it's running by looking at it.

My friend just got a Clifford starter and has nothing but good things to say about it.

There is no factory remote start here in the good ole US of A. I have an appt for the Viper as well, have it in my truck. They also install an antenna which is about 6 inches long on the windshield which comes down by the review mirror... You can have it programed to the factory FOB if you want too. However - I am going to see if I can have two valet keys cut as masters to use the FOB from the viper system instead. Will report back what i find out...

I just had the Viper 5900 installed in my 08 RBP Tech. Range is great! I had another valet cut as a master and I am using that with the fob from the alarm system. Turbo timer is built in and I picked up the window control modules that will open/close my 2 front windows as well as my sunroof (I have a tendency to leave it open sometimes). But definitely a great investment!!!
