RDX and i-Link
I'm looking at purchasing the RDX in October and have done a lot of research on the i-Link for the car. Based on my conversations with friends that have it and a local dealer it seems to me to be a waste of money. The only advantage it gives you is that you can use your controls on the steering wheel to "fast forward" and "reverse" tracks on the iPod....that's it. The text from the iPod does not even come up on the screen from what I'm told and you can still use the volume knob on your steering wheel even if you don't have the i-Link.
So that being said for the additional $1,000 you get to advance to the next song using your steering wheel, oh and it charges it. Wow...way to go...what an achievement.
I'm hoping someone can come on here and prove me wrong and state that it does a lot more than that but I have yet to have anyone else tell me different.

Assuming that i-link is the same as musiclink in the states, it is a waste of money.
If you want ipod integration, go with USA spec, Neo or DICE. DICE does display text info on secondary display as well as nav screen, but you lose XM. Neo also has a text capable product that had some problems before, but hopefully they are fixed by now.
