It is bolted under the console on the right side. It is accessed through the right side console trim panel.

If you have Nav the nav unit must be removed first. Removing the nav unit will dump your personal information and a Map Match must be done when it's re-installed.

are you serious?! =( Man.. the previous owner put an aftermarket sub in the back. The stock sub is now disconnected. I think they must of just unplugged the stock sub from the amp. The aftermarket sub was tapped into the back speakers. Any suggestions guys?

I love the radio in the '08. What is it that you hate about it? I think the sound is top notch, as long as the files you are listening too are high quality, even when they're not it's still damn good.

Can you trace the wiring from the stock sub? Is it possible they disconnected it at the sub, or cut the wires somewhere nearby?

If they wired the aftermarket sub into the back speakers, they may not have gotten to the amp.

When i opened the back up, the sub does not look disconnected at the back. The reason why is that just like in my Volvo S40 2006, they installed a convertor which taps into the back speakers. The converter draws the low frequencies of the sound and goes to the aftermarket subwoofer. The subwoofer at the back does not look touched at all. I am scared to take out the DVD for the navigation on the side. I dont' have warranty on my car and I dont' want to risk anything further damage.

what about calling the person you bought it from and asking? other than that i would first try to at least see if there are any cut wires near the sub or back speakers first

I wish I could but the car came from the states. I'm here in Vancouver Cananda =P. Yeah i did manage to open up the back and the factory sub doesn't looked touched at all. Has anybody have any experience dealing with removing the Navigation DVD (The whole compartment)?
