Navigation and real time traffic

I have the navigation system and real time traffic. The real time traffic is great but it only displays three levels of congestion: 0-25mph, 25-52mph, and over 52mph. There is a HUGE difference between 25mph and 52mph and I'd like to know which one I'm headed toward. I'd like to see the map display more granular information.

The online traffic map at houstontranstar.com (which I believe is using the same information that my traffic map is) provides congestion information at 5 different levels: less than 20mph, 20-29mph, 30-39mph, 40-49mph, and over 50mph which is a lot more useful.

Are there plans to upgrade and can I even upgrade my current system if there is?

Navigation and real time traffic

The real time traffic service is provided by Navteq via XM. Recently when they upgraded the service by increasing its coverage area no firmware/software upgrade was required. If they were to further update it by including more gradations of the traffic conditions, I can't imagine why any software/firmware upgrade would be required. Your best bet would be to check with Navteq regarding their future plans.
