Nav Disc version 4.62
Although I don't know if it's true, I see two problems with this:
1. It's pretty much against the license agreement
2. Generally loading a new nav dvd upgrades your firmware, and Acura states all over the place that once you upgrade, you can't go back.
Long winded way of saying, no, I'm not interested in participating...

Stupid questions...
1) How can I tell what version of the Navi software is running on my RDX?
2) Is the Daylight Savings Time patch on the Navi software disk, or is this updated by some other means? The dealer gave me some lame excuse that the GPS satellites haven't been updated yet. Duh!
Thanks!

The Navi does accept the replacement bmp files. I used a family photo for one and photoshoped the US map pic for the other. I kept one US map just incase I need to travel cross country. (unlikely
)Just a FYI, the night pic (80000001.bmp) is automatically dimmed, so it might get a little too dark for photos. Unless you use a photo that is very vivid.
Have fun!

So for any Canadians out there, I'd probably hold off until the next version...unless you're in Quebec...there seem to be a lot of updates in that area according to the official site.
Boon, how far north did you go?
I have the TL disc burnt and sitting on my desk but the ones that came with our cars stated CANADA and Northern USA.
I know the disc they get down south is USA and Southern Canada.

I checked the official site, and this is the coverage area for Ontario:

Looks like it follows Highway 1/17 across the province. The map also covers a bottom sliver of the other provinces. It doesn't even cover Calgary...so the TL disc is useless if you're planning a road trip to Vancouver or anywhere in between.
^ just to let you know I doubt that old disc you have there will work now you have put in a updated disc
I live in Vaughan :P
If any Canadians with an 08 rdx and have the 4.62 disc for Canada contact me!

Actually you can go back to your old disk. When you put in your old disk and come up to the "Error" screen do the following :-
1) Hold down MAP/GUIDE, MENU and CANCEL at the same time
2) This brings up a Menu
3) From the Menu, select "Version"
4) Then select "Download"
5) This will download the old disc into your system.
BTW, this was posted in the Acura TL forum.

I always figured there was a way to recover and go back. The nav system is probably not complex enough to have to ever re-write the bootloader, and I really doubted that there was no way to recover a multiple thousand dollar computer from a bad disc.
