iPhone iOS4 and the 2010 RDX

Just a word of warning. If you use the iPod/iPhone interface on the 2010 RDX do not upgrade to iPhone iOS 4.0. I loaded the new version on my iPhone last night and the new OS does not work with iPod interface. The Bluetooth audio works but it is less then the optimal solution to use your iPhone through your audio system.

Thanks for the heads up!

I was planning on getting an iPod interface cable for my 08 RDX for the 3GS phone and 1st gen iPod Touch. I think I will wait until I know for sure the new iPod OS will work. I'm a little chicken to do the OS upgrade now, it might not work with my USASPEC iPod adaptor for my TSX.

What iPhone version do you have? I have the 3G, and have had no problems with iPod interface.

However, the Handsfree interface in my 2010 was screwed up. The system kept coming on and saying that the "pairing process could not be started from the phone"

In the end, I had to pair the iphone again (as a new phone), and everything is working fine now.

The joys of being early adopters, huh?

iOS 4 and my 2010 TSX

I just got the iOS 4 update for my iPhone 3GS, and i popped it into the usb connector in my 2010 TSX and it told me that it was unsupported. IDK if Acura is going to release an update soon to support the newest update to it or not, but like someone said earlier, the Bluetooth is fine. It's not the best choice in my opinion cause it takes a few seconds to boot up the BT connection between my car and the phone, and the sound is quieter as well, but it plays music.

Has anyone with a 3GS and a 07 RDX upgraded to iOS4 yet? I'm holding back for fear of losing the handsfreelink functionality...

I went out to dinner this evening and listened to music using the iPod interface on the way there. On the way home, I started the vehicle, plugged in my iPhone and the stereo wasn't able to load the iPod interface. I got a message on the display of "Unsupported Version". The bluetooth streaming continued to work, however.

I tried unplugging and plugging in again to no avail. In the end, I ended up rebooting the phone, and all is well again with the iPod interface.
