HFL problem with Motorola RIZR Z3
Hi,
Has anyone tried Motorola RIZR Z3 with the RDX HFL? I couldn't able to pair by performing the following procedure:
Power on the phone and ensure Bluetooth is on. Initialize HFL and said "Phone Steup", "Pair" with out any issue. Then RDX keep saying "no phone has been paired" and never ask me for 4 digit code. I have tried "Fine Me" (or Discovery mode) and "Look for devices" options as well, but no use.
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks!
Suneel

I had a horrible time pairing my KRZR. I am not going to be of much help since it was a while back, but I thought the setting I had to use to get it to work didn't really make sense.
So I'd say try them all. Also, I think one of the modes only works for 15 seconds or so, so you have to time it right.

I have since paired three different phones to the RDX HFL.
1. Blackberry 8700R
2. Blackberry 8310 Curve
3. Motorola RAZR
It was straightforward and easy, following the procedure outlined in the manual. Make sure you check the list of "pairable" phones from the acura site.

Nav will mute during your phone conversations with the HFL.
With my Motorola Razr, I had to make sure the cell phone was in active search mode, when the HFL was "looking" for pairable phones in the car. As one poster indicated, you might have to refresh the cell phone bluetooth to get it back into active search mode.

I had a Verizon LG VX8300 and it refused to pair no matter what. I checked with Acura tech dept as well as Verizon and neither could give a definitive answer. So, I chucked it for the VX8350 and it paired in like two seconds! Go figure..?
