I recently bought a used 2009 RDX (no Navi) and when trying to set up HFL realized the mic just totally doesn't recognize any commands/voice. I am pressing the correct 'talk' button on the steering wheel, waiting for the beep and saying 'phone setup' (and I've tried other commands as well). It seems to me as though the mic is dead (everything else looks like its working and I've done the HFL diagnostic test as well) its just the damn mic!! Is this anything thats fixable without getting a new unit? Is it possible the previous owner somehow disabled the mic (and if so, how does one re-enable it). Basically, can someone help me get my mic working again ??

 

Try a reset by disconnecting the battery for a short period.

 

I've read that resets the radio code and since I bought this car used, don't have it....
