HFL is just garbage

So I had my POS phone paired and paired my wife's BT. Her phone is paired, but has never once connected (she didn't care much, but it annoys the hell out of me).

I bought a new phone and tried replacing it on the HFL. It wouldn't let me.

I renamed my old phone, then paired the new phone with the same name that was no longer in use. Wouldn't let me pair it. I deleted all the phones off the list, then tried pairing my new one and it still wouldn't accept the name.

My Infiniti paired this phone in 15 seconds. After 20 minutes of dicking around, still couldn't pair this POS.

What type of phone are you trying to pair? Not sure if you have a dealership near you but they could do it for you if you want. I personally haven't had a problem with any phone I've tried to pair ranging from all different types of Blackberr(ies) to iPhones.

Your experience is not consistent with mine. I have paried/replaced a number of handsets without any difficulty. Perhaps there is a defect in your unit.

IIRC, my wife's blackberry is a 8320. It paired just fine, it just won't even pair on it's own (yes, BT is on).

I just bought a Sony X10, it will pair with the Acura, the system just won't accept the name. I made a fake name to transfer my old phone too so I could name my new phone something legible - no luck. I deleted the old name and the fake and it still won't let me pick it or pick anything close to it. It then cancels and I have to start over.

Next time you take it in for service just have them pair your phone. I have never had a problem in the 2 years I've used HFL.

I got my BB 8520 paired and it works flawlessly on this system. I know some phones are a pain in the ass not auto connecting and what not.
