Garage Door Opener
Garage Door Opener
Hello,
Have a 2008 RDX, been following the instructions to a "t" to try and get my garage door opener programmed into the car. I recently heard that you have to unplug the garage door opener in order to get this programmed. Any truth to this?
Thanks

Have you checked out the instructions for your ride on the Home link site:
http://www.homelink.com/program.php
The only downside to homelink is you can always open your garage door because the button is always active (with or without the key). I heard of stories of folks getting their cars broken into first when parked outside and they used the homelink button to open the garage door break into the house.

I had a 2008 RDX and had no problem programming my RDX homelnk to my garage door opener. My garage door opener is a Sears Craftsman. I had to press the 'Learn' button on the garage door opener, then within 30 seconds press the homelink button on the RDX. Worked fine. Did the same an my new 2012 RDX and also works fine. Try it.
