Bluetooth Losing connection

I have a tech version of the RDX with a Pearl blackberry. I find that ossassionally the bluetooth keeps dropping and then reconnecting. It does this non stop every 3-4 seconds so I cannot make a call or even use my Pearl for that matter. It only happens occasionally. Anyone else had issues and if so any solutions?

Thanks
Dave

I had the same connect/disconnect issue with my Blackberry. Drove me crazy since once it started it was hell going through the menus to turn the bluetooth off with all the constant notices of connection found/lost.

I never did find what the cause was, but I 'm getting a new iPAQ this week with bluetooth, so I will be watching to see if it happens again. My hope was that is was the BB and not the RDX

Same issue

You guys described the exact problem I have. Not sure bif is the RDX or the Blackberry software, but it is really frustrating. I tried to delete the profile and re pair but that has not helped. Let me know if anyone else figures out this one as I am at a loss.

Have not had the connection problem with a BB 8700c and the RDX - maintains a solid and consistent Bluetooth connection (although cellular service is another issue). My wife has had similar experience as mine with her Pearl BB and 05 TL.

Bluetooth giving me a Redhead

I posted a thread in discussion today about this.
I get cutoff from incoming calls alot, and voice rarely connects me to my commands-cant understand me. Its fustrating and embarrassing .
The NAV system is just the same-my friend owns a Pilot with touch screen, and I find it easier the telling the RDX what to do

I have tried everything. Deleted the profile on both BB and RDX, took out battery on phone, etc. It works for the first phone call and then connects and isconnects the bluetooth. The bluetooth is not even usable - one of the reasons I got the Tech version was because of this so it is really frustrating to say the least! Does anyone know if they ever update the software in these cars?

Thanks

A solution!

I think RIM has solved the problem. I went to Cingular's web site and there is a new update for the Pearl. I update my Pearl and so far so good. No dropped calls, and all seems to be working. You may want to give it a try.

Same problem with TREO 650

I had the same problem with my treo 650. I went to the handsfreelink.com and determined you need to update the ROM (this can be done on the palmone.com site with specific ROM updates for each carrier). This solved the problem. So even if your phone is supported, it helps to make sure you have the correct version of ROM.

my blackberry 8700 still does this. it's annoying, but doesn't happen daily so it's not as bad as it could be. I just updated the handheld software, but still see the issue. is this a RIM/bluetooth issue?
