Batt cable corroded, radio wants code ...
My 2007 RDX wouldnt start last night. Popped open the hood and there was MASSIVE blue powder all over the red battery terminal. It was quite loose as well. Cleaned it up a bit w. a toothbrush ... it seems that large chunks of the clamp on the end of the cable are corroded so bad they are missing!
Anyway, it starts again, but the radio wants a code. I am the original owner (in Langley BC, Canada). I cant for the life of me find the card with the code.
Is there any other obvious way to find this code (a sticker on the rdx somewhere?) would giving the VIN to the dealer get the code from them or do they need to pull the radio to get the code from the serial number.
I am also wondering if a corroded batt cable clamp would be covered under warranty or not? This vehicle has about 2 weeks left in its 3 year bumper to bumper warranty coverage.
Thanks ...

You definitely need a new battery, once fumes start venting around the positive post seal, it's toast. (Using those red and green felt rings will not help at the rate yours is venting.)
Provided you've been having regular services done, a decent dealer should replace the cable. (ie, someone should have noticed the battery corrosion by now.)
Dealer can retrieve the code as well.
