Question backup camera/display faint

I recently had my hands free unit replaced due to it drawing power while the car was off and at the same time it is now winter and there is snow everywhere. I have since then noticed that the backup camera display is very very hard to see during the day (I clean the backup camera each time before reversing). While in reverse I have turned the knob to set the brightness all the way up and still not visible. The display information while driving is also dim but at least visible.

Is all the white snow ruining the exposure causing the display to dim? Is anyone else noticing this? Or do you guys think that it was due to the recent work done on the car.

Thanks

have your dealer check it out... there is also a TSB out there that improves the display color/contrast and displays it faster too after you turn the key

Yep POS screen. I've been to the dealer for this and it has not been resolved. Take it back and have them compare it to another & replace the defective unit.

The latest DVD update improved the resolution of my back-up camera and nav display. Maybe that'll be your answer.
