2010 software on a 2008 RDX. NOT navi map update.

Hi I was wondering if there is a way to update the 2008 RDX with the 2010 software.
The 2010 software essentially gives a great way to dial with the center knob, a way to actually dial from the phone without having to speak the numbers, tabbed options in the navi.
Maybe just maybe this is somehow possible. Hoping and waiting for an answer.

I have the exact same question. I was at the dealer recently and he didn't give me any information. Another great feature of the newer RDX models is the bluetooth audio link, so you can play music off your phone over bluetooth. A software update would seem like an easy update.

I agree. I had a ZDX as a loaner today and the new Nav screen is quite a step up. It would be great to have that in my 2008 RDX.

I have an '08 but I have driven a '10. I like the Nav system in the '10 much better with the bluetooth streaming, ipod connector, etc. I wish there was a way to update the software to at least get the bluetooth streaming or phone book import via bluetooth.

They gave you the ZDX as a loaner?! Which dealer was that? I think I need to switch over to it!

Herb Connolly of Acura in Framingham. I was actually joking around with them about getting the ZDX as a loaner and they came back and said oh, yeah, it is a ZDX.

To be honest with you I thought it was OK. For that money I would prefer to buy the MDX. I didn't like all the blind spots and I definitely didn't like the rear view area with the bar that goes across the back that blinds you from cars behind you (not fully, but enough for it to be annoying). Maybe it takes some getting use to but I wasn't sold on it with the one day usage usage I had.

Any news on this issue? I am looking to purchase an 07 RDX but I really want iPod integration. If the 10' software has it, and no hardware changes have been made then there should be a way for a dealer to upgrade it.

Not the same hardware.

No updates. And upon closer examination, we're not looking at the same hardware. This is easy to notice when you see that the buttons for climate control, and others on the center console are all re-arranged on the 2010 model.

So, I've given up on an easy software update. I hope someone proves me wrong.

Yeah I figured as much, just changing the software after 3 years would be pretty bleak on Acura's part.
