Anyone know where I can get a list of the cell phone digital codes for bluetooth?

Can anyone please point me to where I can get a list of the cellular phone 4-digit code which i need to use to pair my phone with the Nav/bluetooth system?

Thanks in advance!

If I'm not mistaken, when you do phone setup you tell the system what code you want to use and then you enter that code on your phone. There isn't a special code specific to your phone that you have to know to be able to do that. I did mine at the dealer the day I bought it so the sales guy helped me out but I'm quite sure you don't need a phone specific code.

So, you basically set your phone up to enable bluetooth and allow it to be discoverable then click the button on the steering wheel and say phone setup. It will prompt you on what to do next - but essentially it asks you for a code which is what you'll use once your phone finds the nav system.

You are correct. Just pick any random 4 digit code. During the pairing process you will tell car this 4 digit code as well and manually enter it into your phone.

Yup, went down to my RDX during lunch time and spent just 5 mins. My Blackberry 8700 was successfully paired with the HFL. Now, I just got to get the hang of how to use the HFL to place calls and answer calls.

It's pretty easy. Just hit the talk button and say call then say the number.

I use the Treo 700w and so normally what I do is initiate the call on the phone then once it's ringing you can hit the talk button on the steering wheel and say 'transfer' and the call will transfer to the car.

The HFL will not voice dial out of your phone contacts so unless you want to manually enter all of them into your nav system, then this is probably the easiest way to go.

In your address book (or when you search from something with the nav like a restaraunt and it shows a phone number) you can assign a phone number and then simply say 'call' from that screen and it will use your HFL as well.

Not much else to it.

Since mav238 is using a Blackberry instead of a Treo, I thought I would mention something from my experience.

With my Blackberry 8100 I have to wait for the other party to answer to transfer. Doing so before they answer just gets a "There is no call in progress" response. Also, there is no ringing feedback either on the phone or on the HFL until they answer. Not sure if the 8700 has the same glitches as the 8100, though - hope it works better for you...
