I installed the Kenwood DVD player in the center console, and also managed to fit the big Dynaudio MD170 8" woofers in the doors (not an easy feat). This required constructing mounting baffles 1 1/2" thick, cutting out the grill in the interior door panel and replacing it with aftermarket grills (for more clearance), and the really fun part: enlarging the factory mounting cut-out with a jigsaw! The only really tricky part is getting the woofer/baffle placed exactly right so the interior door panel clears it. It has to be almost perfect for it to work. The first door took about 6 hours. Once I had everything lined up and the metal cut, I kept the scrap pieces and taped them back together so I had a template of where to cut the second door. With the advantage of the template, the second door was a 2 hour job.

It sounds SO much better with the 8" Dyn woofers and MD100 Dyn tweeters. I'm looking forward to constructing the custom A-pillars to hold the 3" midrange and run my front stage in 3-way mode. I also intend to give them a bit more power. There's about 125 watts going to each side now, which I'll upgrade to maybe 200W.

Aside from the audio, I'm also ordering some hubcentric wheel spacers. The 20's I got from TireRack are huge improvement from stock, but the backspacing is a bit too conservative. It should look quite a bit more impressive with an extra 15mm wider track.
