Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2007 RDX with the Tech Package. I check the navi for my address and the whole subdivision where I live is not there - it was built early last year. I want to buy the new 2010 DVD Map Update v4.81 but I want to make sure that my address is there since that's the whole reason I want to buy it. Is there a way of checking for my address other than going to the dealership? I checked the navteq.com map and my address is there; however, I am not sure that the dvd has the same info as the website. any thoughts?

 

I would say 99% that it's not there. The maps are a MINIMUM of a year old when they come out, and there are major roads near me that have been around fo 4 or 5 years that still don't show up.

Why do you need your street? Did you forget how to get home?

Once per year in the fall is correct - unless they have a problem. The 2008 update had an issue and they didn't release it for general consumption until shortly before the 2009 update was due to be released...

He he, have the same issue, I have an '07 and my 6 year old neighborhood doesn't show up... It's not necessary if you know the general direction to get home, but it's always nice to have that address plugged in your "Go Home" space... Especially when you're all turned around in a city 2 hours away and you just want the quickest way outa there.

minnrdx: What i did was move the curser out to the main street right outside my neighborhood and selected that as my home destination.. That way it get's me close and there's at least SOMETHING in that "Go Home" spot

...most of the time I can stumble the rest of the way from there and eventually find my way home
