In about 3 months this will be mass released and sell for around 500.00
Considering HFL is included in the base RDX I really cant see a reason for the tech package. For the ELS stereo ? Puh-leeze...I have that in my tl...it is awesome but
dts is such a dead technology very few artists bother releasing anything for it.
Anyone remember betamax ? Same concept.
Acura needs to lower the tech package to like a 1000.000 option and then it would be worth it.....certainly not for 3000-3500.

 

4.3" display? maybe if it was a Honda Fit... :P

 

$3000 is the suggested retail. You can always negotiate for a lower price with the dealer.

 

eh. u still cant beat the integration of factory units. if i ever get a nav system it certainly wouldnt be the stick on kind.

i think down the road, maybe another year or 2, the RDX will be offered with the ELS system as it is now in the TL w/o having to get the navigation option. this makes the most sense. cut down the cost of the nav, and add a better (standard) feature to round out options.

 

Pro for build in is
- you dun have to worry bout theft
- or hiding the GPS whenever you leave the car
- do not worry about overcharging the batt
- leaving it at home when you actually need it
- sound is certainly loud enough and will not interfere with music
- better control since you do not operate it only through the 4.3" touchscreen but mostly hard buttons
Also tech package give s you far more like the better sound system and the rear cam and if you negotiate hard the real difference at this time should only be $2000
