Angry 2010 RDX Bluetooth Audio

I have been reading that the 2010 RDX Bluetooth works with Audio streaming but mine will not work. (I have tried using several new and older android phones as well as an iPhone for testing and none of them work.) When bluetooth is connected (I see BT symbol on car screen (non gps). When I hit the "CD/AUX" button it toggles between, USB, AUX, CD, than back to USB.

Any suggestions? Anything I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

I have got an iphone 4 and 5 to work periodically it seems. There have been different threads on this topic, and most say just to hook it up to the USB port to resolve the issue. Sorry, not an answer, but may take away the frustration of it periodically working and having to find the phone all over again.

Perhaps a setting in the device itself to output audio via the BT? For instance, in android you can go to the bluetooth settings, click the little gear icon next to the "HandsFreeLink", and there should be some checkboxes for Phone Audio and Media Audio. Sounds like your phone audio is working fine but maybe media audio isn't checked? FWIW, I have a Nexus 5 that has been paired to my RDX since day 1 with zero issues. Also have a 2010 tech.

Also, while I doubt this is a cause, if you bought it pre-owned make sure you unpair any previous BT devices that were linked to the car. You can do it through the BT set up voice commands.

It's possible your RDX might be linked to another Bluetooth. If you press the talk button and go through the tutorials it will tell you how. If I remember correctly, press "talk" then say the command "Bluetooth set up" or "next phone"

Since he's seeing the bluetooth icon (indicating an actual, active connection), I don't think that is the case. However that did remind me...

OP - do you have a significant other that also has their phone paired to the RDX? I believe the vehicle will assign priority in the order the phones are paired. For instance, if both my wife and I are in the car and she wants to play some tunes through her phone, I have to turn off the BT of my phone so it disconnects from the car and lets hers play. If that is the case, follow the prompts through the phone set up to delete hers and then re-pair it.
