I'm curious if anyone has replaced only the screen in the car before? If so, what all was involved? Mine is getting dim to the point where it is very easily washed out in the daylight sun, even with brightness to the max. Over 11 years and 185k miles of driving, the backlight on the screen is just getting old and outputting less light. Looks like used (but newer than mine) options are out there on Ebay for around 100 bucks, so I don't mind replacing if it's relatively accessible.
