Yikes - Consumer Review!!

For what it's worth - I peeked at the consumer report findings and was a little disappointed to see that the RDX didn't do that great (despite all the super reviews, etc.).

I was previously looking at a TL or Honda Accord Hybrid.

I'm hoping that my decision against the Hybrid Accord Sedan and TL (in favour of the Acura crossover) was a good one.

Any comments here??

What makes you think that Consumer Reports gave the RDX a bad review? They actually gave the RDX a recommended rating in the current issue's matchup against the X3, CX7 and a few others. The X3 got hammered by CR for poor reliability and did not get a recommended rating.

The Consumer Reports review isnt that bad. I don't see anyone here regretting the purchase of an RDX. I love mine and can recommend it to you if you want a fun car to drive, and if you like the design. Fof Gods sake all these whiners about the gas milage, if you want to get good fuel economy don't buy an RDX! buy a hybrid, but I doubt it will zoom like the RDX

Thanks for the good words.

Yeah, the consumer report isn't that bad on it's own - but the Accord shows better results than the RDX, but then it's been around forever. Maybe I'm having a little trouble with the switch from a sedan to a crossover (I always said I would NEVER, NEVER buy a van or SUV). Wow!! The times they are a changin'...

Mommy...FWIW, I also said I'd never get an SUV...then I got my Element in '03 and have really enjoyed it. Not that I don't miss the Stealth it replaced (I do, I do, esp. the speed and handling of the Stealth vs. Element) -- but then again, that's one of the reasons I'm replacing the Element with an RDX. RDX is really the best of all worlds imho -- speed, handling, room (vs. a sedan or most sport coupes).

Cant go wrong with the RDX, so much better on the fun to drive category over the 07 TL w/nav as we have both RDX Tech and the 07 TL in my house. TL-S however, I cannot vouch for.
