Which year to buy? 2007-2009 RDX

I've decided to replace my 12 year old crv with an rdx. What are the major differences between the first 3 years? Which is the best value? Don't like the 2010 styling so that's a no go.

Also, I read about the hondata ecu upgrade, can that be done on 2007-2009?

Any input would be great!

07
Good: BEST DRIVE/HANDLING, the firmest springs/struts
Bad: No blue tooth in base model, no memory seats, no auto dim rear view mirror

08-09
Good: added std blue tooth in either model, memory seats, polished metal metallic paint added
Bad: softened ride but retained about the same level of harshness

Hondata can be done on any model year

drive an 07 and an 08/09 and then decide what you like better. They drive different. the 08 has more body roll but is just a TAD softer thru the city - but still suffers from crashing suspension. Take them both on bumpy roads, and take some HIGHWAY onramps/exits - you will quickly see the difference in handling between the 07 and 08/09

08-09....the (negative) handling difference won't be much noticed by the regular folk....

Just curious, what makes the suspension different from the 07 and 08-09? The shocks and springs are the same.

since the 08 is a few years old now, i did have info on the alterations to the suspension, however i cannot locate it now. sorry man....i have a strong feeling it may have been Acura News, but i dont remember. I owned an 07, and now drive an 08. Im not sure where XIS is getting the firm/loose steering from, i think the steering is about the same, but i certainly did read documenation about the suspension before getting into the 2008...i tried to locate a new 07 because of it but it was too late in the model cycle couldnt find one, so had to go with an 08

My steering comments were based on using 08 loaners while my 07 was being serviced.

Turning (on my examples) had a feeling like I could easily steer with my fingers instead of my hands... Like the difference of turning a wheel of a car with bald tires vs spankin new tires... That kind of feeling.

that feeling could also have been attributed to different balancing in the tires - a rediculously on point balance would have an easier steering feel whereas something out of wack may feel a bit heavier - thats been my experience w/steering feel & getting the wheels balanced. I get my tires balanced on the car. big difference imo. its like getting a new car every time.
