Windshield Washer Pump Switch
#1
![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My daughter has a 2008 Acura RDX. The rear wiper works as well as the front wiper blades. When i activate the rear washer pump it works. When I activate the front washer, the pump never activates. Could this be a faulty switch in the control stem that goes into the steering column? I was thinking of replacing it but I would like to know if this sounds like a likely cause to everyone else? If so, is this a simple job of removing the upper and lower steering column covers behind the steering wheel and plug and play? Thank you for any assistance.
I apologize, i originally filed this in the wrong area by not paying attention.

It definitely sounds like it's a stalk issue.
These are in fact pretty easy to replace. Pull the upper and lower covers off the steering column, sometimes requires the ability to spin the steering wheel to get a couple of screws off so if the lower cover doesn't come off easy, check directly behind the steering wheel. After that the stalk either screw in with a couple screws, or I've also found some of them even just slide in and out. In any event, it should be a pretty quick 20 minute fix.
