What's your city MPG
#2
08 RDX tech with +190,000 miles (following engine mods for +10 years):
- Hondata reflash
- ETS intercooler
- Hondata heatshield gasket
- K/N drop in filter
My city mpgs are closer to combined because having to hit the hwy to get to most places quickly around the city:
before mods: 17.5 to 18 mpg
after mods: 18.5 to 19.5 mpg
winter mpg with temps below 40 degrees: 19.5 to 20.5 mpg (with a slight hp/tq bump on the butt dyno)
Never got above 22 mpg on 100% hwy driving. Didn't help the posted speed limit is 75-80 mph and living/driving 5000-7200 feet. I handed down the 08 RDX to my daughter back in 2019 and replaced it with a 19 MDX hybrid. I now get 24-26 mpg combined and to 26-28 hwy mpgs for the hybrid that can run on 87-91 octane on the same routes.

My 11 MDX Adv with +150,000 miles is my "beater" vehicle for home depot runs, dump runs, when the weather is bad, or when family visit and need a vehicle. I get even lower mpgs in the 11 MDX at around 16.5-17.5 on a good day and 14-15 mpgs on a bad day.

I've got about 18 MPG on mine right now combined with city/highway. Dense city traffic with waiting results in ~ 13 MPG.
I just changed the spark plugs + cleaned the intercooler on mine. Next step is an air filter

18 MPG, city/highway. I swear I can feel the drag of the AWD like a boat anchor. She's got about 134K miles. When I got the RDX, I tried 87 octane, but the valve knock begged for better gas. That and I killed the knock sensor so I'm at 93 octane and work a few extra hours to pay for it.
