What wheel locks do you recommend?

Hey guys,

New member here. Did my usual routine of waking up every morning to repark the car and what a surprise I got. All 4 wheels were stolen, car on a huge rock and a desk. (Car was parked right across the street from my house)

What wheel locks do you recommend for the RDX? Do you also recommend on putting on more than one? Its a safe neighborhood and its the first time it happened on my street in the last few years. (I didn't have wheel locks on when they were stolen, big mistake).

Yea, never thought this would ever happen to me. I just put on Gorilla Acorn Locks and a local tireshop is putting on OEM locks for me. However the Gorilla Acorn (12mm x 1.5) stick out a little. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing as im not too good with wheel locks. Insurance took care of everything, hope it doesn't happen again.

Once again, any help with any specific locks would be great!

Holy cow. You are lucky they didn't just drop it on the rotors, otherwise you'd have new brakes too.

Go with low profile OEM:

Wow! Did you have aftermarket wheels on your car? Kind of silly to steal OEM wheels otherwise.

I've had McGard wheel locks in the past and they worked pretty well.

OEM are made by McGard but only sold exclusively by Acura.

I had OEM wheels. Someone probably had an order and then boom. Next day guarantee.

I'm sorry to hear what happened. I use the RonJon wheel locks on my RDX for about $60. You get 20 Chrome security lug nuts instead of just 4 security lugs with other brands. I'm not 100% sure if they will fit on OEM or other aftermarket rims. I make sure I disguise and hide the key in the RDX where only I know where to find it.

May be time to upgrade your RDX security with an alarm, motion detector, pager and .9mm Beretta.

you did not have any wheel locks? usually dealers put them on all cars. they help to deter most of the theft, but not all

Get wheel locks and call it a day...this is what insurance is for. And the front rotor LOOKS like they dropped the car on it.

Sorry to hear about this...nobody likes a violation (like this )

Gorilla works for me...
