WeatherTech floormats vs Acura
Anyone have any experience with the WeatherTech product. I'm looking to replace the factory mats as the driver's mat is already showing wear after only a few months. I was just going to go with the Acura all weather mats, but now I'm considering WeatherTech. $169.90 for front and rear.

If you're talking about their "all season" mats, they're just about the same as OEM...
Now if you're talking about their "FloorLiner" product, then yes they're worth it and much better coverage over-all...
This is my take on these products:
Acura OEM or WeatherTech "All Season" mats = normal seasonal rain/snow locations (i.e. normal~avg. snow, rain, etc...)
WeatherTech "FloorLiner" mats = severe weather locations (i.e. snowy locations, etc...)

I thought I was the only one with the driver side mat wearing out. There's a patch, where my right heel rests, that is getting bald. I noticed, that after a few weeks, a bunch of hair balls were accumulating.

I purchased the Acura All-Weather mats when I got the car and found they fit pretty good and provided decent coverage for snow, mud, etc.
I replaced the front ones with the WeatherTech Floorliners as they provide way better coverage - especially below the gas pedal. I highly recommend the floorliners.
I'm now just trying to sell my All-Weather mats as I now have those plus the original carpeted ones sitting around.

I talking about WeatherTech FloorLiner verses Acura OEM All-Season floormats (the rubber ones $125 list can be had online for around $95). It seems like from the pictures the WeatherTech provide much more coverage area. I'm just not sure of the quality or fitment without seeing them in person. The carpet Acura mats are thin and crappy. I've got to replace them soon.

11k and 9 months on my RDX, and yes I have a hole in my mat under my right foot. I'm surprised Acura did not reinforce that spot with some rubber. I just ordered a set of All-Weather mats on ebay.

I emailed my service advisor for the heck of it and he said they are covered under warranty. Surprisingly enough, I will be dropping by for replacements, as advised.

My oem civic floor mats last longer than the RDX in 7 years. The RDX is rarely driven, and within 6 months of ownership, the patch of carpet is rapidly balding.

The OEM floor mats are not of the best quality I must admit. After 9 months and 12k on the RDXturbo they have shown significant wear. I purchased the OEM all weather mats for the winter season and they are much stronger and fit like a glove. The only complain is that they dont cover under the pedals on the drivers side. Overall the all weather mats are great and will help me keep my stock floor mats new throughout the years.

Yes - I have them for the front, back and cargo liner. I actually got them before the car since I had to wait for my Black on Black Tech package.
They fit like a glove and are great. Winter here tends to be snowy, slushy, sandy and salty. I couldn't see doing without them frankly.
The only thing I had to do was put a little Velcro on top of the middle mat in the back - so I could keep my small garbage can from sliding around on it.

Big M, which mats do you have? The Acura all season or the WeatherTech? I'm still undecided but leaning towards the Acura product for the price. Thanks to everyone for your input.

Is there a link directly to Acura USA? The Acura USA web site will only link an email communication to my local dealer.

I recently purchased the cargo liner from weathertech. I am slightly disappointed. Although it fits perfectly, I was hoping it would be a thicker/heavier material. It has a flimsy feel to it. Overall, it is better looking than the Acura OEM cargo liner and probably better than all the other cargo liners out there.

I ordered a weathertech cargo liner 2 months ago. It's still not here. I called in after a month and they said it was on backorder.
I have the Acura rubber mats. Fit is good, coverage is pretty good (could be a bit better), btu when I wash them (pressure wash, soap and foam brush), the dirt seems to stain the color and I can't get them looking 100% clean.

I got mine not long ago, I like it, much better coverage than the OEM one.
About being "thin", I'm sure it will be ok. I mean I'm not going to carry bricks, shovels, 2x4's or blades in the back. :P

Diggin' the RDX!
I've had the Acura all-weather mats for a year now and have been really happy with them. I am in a heavy snow climate (of late!) and no problems at all. They also clean up easily and still look brand new. If the WTs were the same or near the same price, I'd say consider them. But for $50 or so less, eh. You can't go wrong with the Acura all-weather mats.

I am really disappointed in the Acura all-weather mats. The worst part is a 4" x 5" area right below the accelerator that is completely unprotected. Water, leaves, etc. drip from my right foot right onto the carpet when I am driving. Poor design. Also, I have a taupe interior and the mats stain very easily.

The mats come in both black and tan, so if you track a lot of mud into your car, the black version might be a better choice for you. Probably the black leather, too.

In this lawsuit happy country, however, manufacturers just don't want to take the chance.

I have the black mats and all-black interior for this reason. I do see the point on the concern about the dripping near the accelerator; what I do to avoid this is just try to gently bang my right foot on the doorsill as I get in if it is snowy or whatever outside.

i have the weather tech mats and they felt a bit flimsy in the beginning but when you actually put them on its a perfect fit and feel good. It collects EVERYTHING!. Looking at the acura floor mats i dont see how they could collect everything as it doesnt CUP the area of the rug. The weather tech on the other hand is very high and leans against sides of the rug almost about to the door. Highly recommend them.
