Weak AC?

Does anyone else consider the AC a bit weak on their RDX? Even at low fan speeds after 20 minutes + of driving, the air isn't particularly cold.

Acura says that everything checks out.

I thought my A/C was a little weak as well but not enough to consider it a problem. I just assumed it was because of the large space and large windshield that it had to work with. When I got the vehicle back after my first oil change the climate control temperature had been set to "lo" and the A/C came on blasting. I thought that was kind of strange. I set it back to "Auto" and ever since then it has been much better. Don't know if a). they changed something b) it just needed to be exercised c) I had something set wrong d) it's all in my head. But no harm in blasting it for a few minutes to see if that changes anything.

Hmmm.. I don't use the climate control, I just have it set to "LO", with the AC on, and adjust my comfort level with the fan speed. I don't suppose that the climate control actually can get the air colder.... doubtful, but I'll try it.

If you already have it set to "LO" then I would agree that "Auto" shouldn't really change anything (except it may switch to recirculate). But with mine at "Auto" and "LO" it blasts cold air on a hot day. Given that and the other posts, if yours cannot blow definetly cold air at that setting than I'd say your AC is not like the others.

cold here

My a/c is cold enough for people to complain its too cold-even when its 98 outside. However I do notice if in "recurculate" mode it is colder than with fresh air coming in-especially when its real hot outside. Contrary to Acura's recommendation, I leave it in recurculate most of the time.

Correction: 103 in Woodland Hills today and it works great. !!

If the vehicle has been sitting in the sun it takes a little while to get good cooling, but once the vehicle is moving, I'm surprised at how well it works.
Mine dumps gallons of condensate on the ground after parking....

I live in Florida it doesnt get any more humid than here, and I find the AC to be ice cold so no I dont consider the AC in the RDX to be weak.

Actually I have found it to be quite good even though I only use it when it gets very warm. Fan is a little noisier than some but I can live with it.

Good so far, but we have had a crazy summer so far in terms of weather.

I like things cool, so I leave in on 66 degrees unless my daughter is in the car.
