Vancouver, getting snowed in... but RDX SH-AWD doing its job
We have been getting quite a bit of snow lately, especially where we are on the mountain top community. The roads definitely snow packed and slippery, but the SH-AWD handling it with no issues whatsoever. Our friend's X3 for some unknown reason were not able to make up a road to their house which is just a short walk away. That is the same road we take our RDX up with to our house. Interesting...
Anyway, impressed with the SH-AWD... glad I bought it for this winter...

Amen brother...I think we might be going up the same hill. I was driving up very steep parts of the hill and stopping and then starting. No problems whatsoever. Other cars were pulling over and spinning their tires but my RDX had no probs...SH-AWD rocks.

Go RDX go!! I'm doing my best in Ottawa with record eastern snowfalls with my 96 Integra with snowtires while waiting for my RDX to be delivered in mid-to-late January. I've ordered Pirelli snows and rims since this seems to be a record winter that keeps on going like the everyready bunny.

No worries driving around Vancouver and the burbs in the snow with our RDX here. It seems heavy enough to push through any tracks in deep snow when changing lanes, taking turns etc.
Only problem is that last week ice fell off the alex fraser bridge onto the sunroof .. now have a quarter inch gap where the sunroof has been forced downwards ... lots of wind noise and stuff at speed, but no leaks, and the sunroof operates OK. Insurance will cover that and ice damage to the windshield as well.

I was on one of these side streets, and the road was not ploughed at all, I made a right angled right turn @ 30 km/h without stepping the brakes, and could feel the rearend "sliding" a little, but somehow the AWD system tightened up the turn very quickly, a weird feeling, like someone is holding your car's rear end and keeping it on it's original intended track.
