Trip to IKEA

The wife and I went looking for an inexpensive IKEA styled bed. I was a little nervous of the size of the box. I thought that we would have to put in between the front seats but my wife says try diagonal and see if it fits. Sure enough it fit with the front seat pretty far back. The box is about 76in long and not that wide thankfully.

I've looked inside of a few CUVs and the RDX has the most "usable" cargo space for it's size.

I got a 10 foot long stick of 1/2 inch copper pipe in today.
Diagonal from the top of the passenger side dash. I could not do that with my pickup truck - always had to tie them to the roof or stick them into the cab theu the rear window.

It's definitely nice to have the space when you need it. Obviously, my TSX doesn't fit much big stuff in it. I actually had my first need for an SUV last week when I purchased a new office chair from Staples and had them put it together for me there. I wheeled it out to my car, and had to think about how I was going to stuff it in there. I ended up taking it out and putting it in 3 different times into the back seat. It was a VERY snug fit (really not sure how I got in there), but I got it home. I wonder if anyone saw me trying to stuff it in...

Awesome, only thing i wish back there is that there was more lighting and/or a light that would trigger automatically when the hatch opens. It took me a few weeks to notice the light on the left that u have to put on.

when that light is "on", its only on when the hatch is open, ie. you can leave it in that setting.
