I left my RDX outside the garage and when i start my car the next morning my tire monitor preasure warning came up. I live in Chicago and it was -11 deg F. Does anyone encounter this problem?

This happened to me when I left my car parked at the mountain for the day while I was snowboarding. I got back to the car and the tire pressure monitor came on. I started the car a few times and over the course of several hours but it would not go away. Once I got off the mountain and out of the snow, the warning went away by itself. I think the TPMS comes on at around 26-27 psi.

I as well live in the Chicago are. This morning at - 17. and yesrerday as I left the office, I had readings of 26 to 27 on the TPMS, with no warning issues. As i drove on I was soon at 30 to 31 psi. It is the extreme cold and not an issue with your TPMS.

TPMS Malfunction lamp on- cause info...
Blast from the past.
The following info is not relative to this^ old post but a good FYI.
We have an '11 and we sometimes get a "tpms system malfunction" warning light. If I pull out our phone chargers the alarm goes away.
Took a long time and many trips to the dealer, who never really did figure this out.

Looks like some of us forgot 8th grade science!

I had a similar issue but my friend has a tpms scanner and one of my tpms sensor battery was low. Maybe have your dealer check the battery level of each sensor? One sensor not reading correctly will cause the tpms malfunction lamp to kick off. I just replaced all four of them since its a 2008. No issues since.
