Soon attempting turbo removal
Soon attempting turbo removal
Any suggestions on discounting oil line banjo bolt from underneath? Under cat converter? If I can get broken loose, I can get my daughter with smaller hands and arms to probably take bolt off
You're doing more with this engine than most people who still have this car do. Big up.
Just curious, were you able to remove the filter housing with the intermediate axle still installed?
Btw change the two filter housing gaskets while you have the housing off. Part #s 15302-RWC-A01 and 15303-RWC-A01.

Yes I was. Axle wasn't touched. It comes down to having an assortment of wrenches and small narrow sockets. No lie the top left took forever to back out even with pivoting housing to the right after removal of engine mount. As you can see i have plenty of room now to get to banjo bolt *tomorrow
Got the banjo bolt out. Is there 1 more mounting bolt hiding near or under cat converter at top? One video mentioned it but none of the others did. I don't want to remove cat unless I absolutely have to
Took off bolts and nuts to exhaust and turbo visible from top and the 2 10mm holding coolant lines into turbo and turbo barely wiggles
guessing there is another bolt somewhere on bottom? Anyone know?

Well no matter what I did I couldn't get to bracket bolt without removing catalytic. And then I just decided its probably easier to drop entire exhaust. Its full of oil anyway so 2 springs and bolts and lube each rubber hanger and exhaust out in 10 minutes. Now to get stubborn passenger side axle out to slide cat out. Till next week or 2?
