Sold Mine

I just wanted to thank everyone for their good advice on my last thread about selling my RDX/ tech. It had 3,600 miles on it and I sold it at Carmax for 31.5k . I was pleased to get such a good offer. I was offered 28.5k as a trade in at the VW dealership (i'm getting a Passat) which I thought was insulting, but I wasn't really surprised. They actually called the Acura deealership (because they would have traded it to them) who told them they had several RDXs going to auction and could not do any better. Carmax was a great idea and I thank the person who suggested it.

Take care.

Wow, I think $31500 is really good -- considering they are going for $33500-34000 brand new now. Glad CarMax worked out so well. Good luck with the Passat!

I drove an Audi A4 for 10 years. I love the way the passat drives. And the are much better looking than the new Audis. The RDX just wasn't for me. It gave me motion sickness.

I had a passat 9 years and kept it when I got the RDX. I still love the passat 5 speed stick shift, fun to drive car, with awesome pickup. Glad I still have it. I'm sure you will love yours, but I have to admit, I got my $ worth on the old warrentee of 100 thousand miles/ 10 years on the engine a drive train.
Glad you're happy now

All I can say is to bad it didn't work for you. I absolutley LOVE my RDX!! I've had lots of different cars / SUV's & this one is it. I do know if the vehicle you have doesn't work or you hate it, you do what you have to do to move on. Good luck!

selling too!

What a piece of junk. I have had the car for two weeks and sent it back for service and told that it is normal for the air conditioner to almost stall the car. four cylinder with air. My accord was way better. Vibration in gas pedal and brake suck. The dealer now tells me he has been taking trade ins of rdx on other cars.

I really think that your car must have had issues. Vibration? I've never experience any of that. I'm sure those in warmer climates would have complained earlier about the air and battery. Unless those who did complain about the battery were in southern states (this time of year).

Interesting - I just got rid of my 2000 A4 - traded it in for close to nothing buying the RDX. This Audi was absolutely a nightmare - dreaded 1.8 T engine and the endless visits to $120 an hour dealer thieves in Fairlawn NJ. Will never buy anything with German label on it and 4 wheels..

Well...good luck with your Passat...maybe it will be of better quality than mine...they are all VW's - same parts...

I had my a4 for ten years. I'm not going to say I never had a problem with it but I love driving it. My problem was I bought the audi and then moved to NYC and th car lived in my parents garage barely being driven. It took me 7 years to put 40k miles on it. Cars like that run better if they are driven all the time. Since I have moved out of NYC and drive all the time it runs much better.
