silly question but might as well since manual not too clear...

just a quick question, so no problems during summer, i turn on the a/c to cool the air inside when it's warm outside...

pardon me for asking but not sure how the non-auto climate works for rdx during winter. do i leave the a/c button off and set the temp higher and the heat will automatically be generated to the temp i desire (with the auto button off)?

fyi (my manual also doesnt have a section for non-navigation system models, even if all the pages are complete - page 165 states models with nav system but otherwise, there's none for no section for non-nav system... odd)

thanks!

in the winter, leave AC off and turn up the temp. or you can leave AC on and turn up the temp. This will produce dryer heat if your interior is all fogged up

thanks, so A/C button works (by producing drier heat) during winter too (with the auto climate at OFF)? (net it wont be cooling but rather just producing heat instead?)

cant test this now as its summer LOL

what? lol the AC on will dehumidify the air whether you want heat (temp set high) or AC (temp set low)

With the system in auto all you have to do is set the desired temp and the vehicle does the rest. It does this by incorporating/interprolating inputs from the inside and outside air temp sensors.
If it were possible to drive from a freezing climate and into a hot one the system in auto would compensate accordingly by introducing warm air and then cold (as you enter the hot ambient) in an attempt to keep the cabin at the desired temperature.

Also,on a side note, the auto sys is linked to the Acuralink sys. If the system set the blower to max to cool the cabin rapidly and at the same time you try to make a call, it will decrease the fan speed to limit noise created by the fan(breeze) untill you end the call.
Pretty neat!

LOL. yes, never had to use the heater on this system so far. i came fm land of low tech. didnt realize that a/c will not necessarily always blow out cold air - i thought it ONLY blew out cold air (seriously) - per my previous low tech vehicles. thanks a lot. guess auto is the way to go.
