BMW is coming out with the same set-up. I wonder if Acura sold them the rights.

audi just ripped the system off with their new optional "sport" differential... same thing, planetary gearset and clutch pack on each side of the rear diff.

only difference is we have two of them so far, and one has already had an issue. even aoa techline didn't know what to do... they had to call germany and get back to us........ lame.

Arguing the best AWD is a tough one. Saab and Mitusbishi also have similar systems. Subaru has a bunch of youtube video's showing their cars making it up things other vehicles can't.

Infiniti's system is my favorite since it's 100% rear biased until slip is detected.

Acura is far from the technology tip though. 5 speed autos, no direct injection, no double clutch gear boxes, no throttleless engines, blind spot monitoring, radar guided cruise etc. I'm not saying they are all valuable/useful features, but Acura lags the competition in this regard.

all ill say is, they have one of the most effective systems...it may not be geared to performance like infiniti, but everywhere else it seems to have the best balance of handling/all weather

real demo & comparison....i really give the acura video zero weight other than showing the car actually driving.

actually, im pretty sure the sales brochure is more effective in at least demonstrating whats actually going on rather than the acura sales/promo video, whatever it is
